Some stuff I've learnt

1. Mom & Dad make great jungles gyms once you've kind of learnt to crawl. Their kidneys make great stepping stones, and their squidgy tummies really help you when you're trying to get a foothold!

2. I can practise sharpening my 2 new teeth while I eat my milk (Mom doesn't seem to appreciate it though)

3. Hanging onto the little hairs on the back of Mom's head is a great way of steading yourself when you're being carried around.

4. The cats don't know what's coming their way now that I can get to them!

We Have Teeth!!!

Or rather, that's "I" have teeth!

Finally today my first tooth decided to make an appearance.

Mom has been sticking her finger in my mouth all the time lately, and when she felt my gum today she got so excited that in the ultimate act of indignity she yanked my mouth opened and pointed the black box into it.

She paid no attention to the fact I didn't want my mouth held open like that...as if I wasn't cranky enough.

Oh well, once she let go of me I decided to show off my teeth myself!

Prune Face

Well I'm now a pro at eating and I love it. It just sometimes makes my tummy hurt a bit, cause I'm not used to it.

So last night Mom cooked me my very first meal of butternut, but to help with my tummy she also gave me some prunes for dessert, and wow were they delish!

Mom says I bring new meaning to the words "prune faced"

I love feeding my self!

This tastes good!

A City in the Sun

Sorry I haven't been updating a lot but my Mom has been so busy working she hogs the computer most of the time.

This last weekend we went away for the weekend with Gareth & Reinette. It was pretty cool, except the parentals made me sleep in this funny bed in the same room as them, so their snoring and stuff kept waking me up...and then they look at me like it's my fault!

Also I was teething so sometimes that made me a bit grumpy. If you look at the photos below you can see my one cheek is all hot and red from my teeth trying to break through.

On the Saturday I got strapped into my new stroller and we climbed on this huge noisy vehicle which took us down to some nice gardens where we walked. I saw monkeys, and sprinbok, and goats, and lots of different birds. It was quite amazing!

Oh, and I saw the biggest animal ever, and I couldn't believe my eyes, some kid was endangering his life by daring to climb on the beast! Daddy called it a long suffering horse, whatever that is?

A WHOLE 5 months at last!

I've been saving up all my exciting news and photos for this update!

I'm so grown up now that I can

b) Eat
c) Suck my toes
d) Boss the parentals around

Life is great!

On Sunday my parents fed me for the first time in forever, my Mom showed me a funny yellow thing and said I was going to eat a banana. Dad stuck me in this chair thing and stuck a piece of plastic in my mouth covered with sweet slimey stuff. At first it wasn't too bad but after a few moments to contemplate I decided it wasn't really my cup of tea, the parentals can keep their goo to themselves, I'm sticking to yummy milk!

Also on the weekend my Dad was playing with me and got super excited when he saw I could move forward on my knees...silly Dad, of course I can crawl, what else does he think I've been practising for the last 5 months?

I went to my first wedding on Friday and saw my Mom's friend Carly get married, she looked beautiful and I had lots of fun besides being assaulted by all the women there. Silly Mom forgot the camera though so you can't see how well dressed I was.

On Saturday I also went for my first modelling gig with Natasha, I think she's going to help me get famous. If she gives me permission I'll post some of the pics here when she's done proofing them so you can see just how great I looked!

Other than that I keep the house full of laughs & cries, spit & vomit, nappies & bibs, and all that other good stuff. My Mommy & Daddy love me very, very, very much!
