Ice, Ice Baby!

Today we watched all this cold stuff fall out of the sky, and boy it sure made one heck of a noise as it came down...my eyes were like saucers I tell you!

When it stopped the sun came straight out again and Mom let me go outside to have look. It was really cold to touch.

And there was loads of the stuff piled up against our walls

Oh my goodness, look at all the leaves it knocked off!

It's kinda cold I tell you, and look, more leaves!

The Svan and the Ugly Duckling

When I woke up this morning, there was a surprise for me, my very own Svan highchair!

Mango - the discovery!

The funniest thing happened to me this week.

So lately Mom keeps trying to shove these dried and shrivelled up pieces of stuff in my mouth...yuck!

Well of course I refused and pushed my lips together as hard as I could, I'm not silly you know and that could have been something dangerous, not nice and yummy like Dad's slops!

Finally this week I decided to humour the old bat and what do you know, the stuff is actually pretty tasty, Mom says it's called sundried Mango.

And guess what, teeth come in pretty handy for something other than grinding. Turns out you can use them for pulling little bits off the dried mango...yummy!

Hmm, I'm not so sure, it's just all pretty dry and tasteless to me

Oops, I ripped a bit off and ewwww, it's in my mouth....

Ok, ok, I'll admit it, this is yummy!

Aunty Steph & Oma's Birthday

It was my Aunty Steph & my Oma's birthday the other day, so to celebrate we had a party at our house.

It was so much fun, we were outside, dad was braaing, Mom was chatting and there were loads of people to personally entertain me!

Practising using my teeth

So after feeling a bit miserable this week, I have just got 2 brand new teeth. This brings my total to 8!

I love using my teeth to chew all sorts of things but I especially like wooden spoons and dirty shoes! My very favourite is the biltong I get at Noni & Grumpy's!

Strangely though Mom seems to think I should use my teeth to chew food. I don't understand why, when it's easier just to swallow it when it's already mush. And can I just state for the record that I HATE dried mango strips! I have no idea what they taste like because I won't let them pass my lips, but the very fact that Mom keeps trying must mean that there's something wrong with them...I know her, she's a tricky one, so I think I'll just stick to Dad's tasty slops for now when I feel like munching something!

Oh and I must tell you, horror of all horrors, the other morning, instead of mushing up my banana just the way I like it, Mom tried to force me to eat it just like that! Can you imagine! And then she told me I was doing it wrong when I obliged her and took a bit of the skin...I just can't win!

Mmmm yummy, nothing better than the taste of wood in the morning.

What's this, an unmushed banana? Ag you shouldn't have mom. No really, you shouldn't have!

Fine, if you insist I will have a nibble of this nice skin here.

Hmmm, I'll just finish up with a bit of water, this chewing thing is thirsty work.

So we visited Noni & Grumpy yesterday and they had such a nice surprise for me. The week before they went to visit Lynnette and brought back a whole loads of presents just for me!

There is the nicest bear I already love to squish, and then a whole lot of books! Mom has even read some of them to me already, I really enjoy the Dr Seuss one with the wobbly eyes!

The Loot!

Wine/Whine???

So there's something that's been bothering me lately, and it's all this business about whining!

Mom is always going on about how she needs some wine after a day with me, but I don't get why because I give her more than enough whining...and she certainly doesn't seem to appreciate it then? Why is Dad's wine better than mine?

Oh and then there's all these lovely glasses of stuff people drink and won't let me sip, while making making comments about me and wine...what's the big deal, I'm only whining cause you won't let me drink it!

Oooooooooooh, I wanna sip, I wanna sip!

Ag Dad, I'm nearly there, so kindly let go my foot!

9 Months!

I'm 9 months today, so about the same amount of time I should have spent swimming around in my Mom's tummy...except I of course was more than fashionably late!

So what have I been up to? Well, what haven't I been up to is more like it!

I have 6 teeth
I can make the Hadeda noise
I can say uh uh, and when Mom says uh uh I say HUH? and pretend I can't understand her
I can put the different shapes through the right holes if I try hard enough
I know the remote turns on the tv and can do it myself if the parentals let me get a hold of it

Oh there's so much more but I wouldn't want to bore you!
